Woyzeck at Maxim Groki Theater Berlin

We started rehearsing for "Woyzeck" at Maxim Gorki Theater. The piece directed by Tilman Köhler will premiere on May 25 2009 and is musically accompanied by drums (Jörg-Martin Wagner), trumpet (Nikolaus Neuser), bass (me) and two laptops. It's going to be a great show. Jörg wrote some catchy tunes and there will also a good deal of improvisation.

The Maxim Gorki theater is located in Berlin Mitte, near the promenade "Unter den Linden"

Woyzeck is a stage play written by Georg Büchner. He left the work incomplete at his death, but it has been variously and posthumously "finished" by a variety of authors, editors and translators. Woyzeck has become one of the most performed and influential plays in the German theatre repertory.
